Hotpotatoes helps you create online quizzes (5 different kinds) for free, and
you can export the quizzes to their website! This is amazingly easy.

Discovery.com has Puzzlemaker that you can use for free, but I'm not sure if
you can use it online. You can make crosswords, word search, etc.

For $49 US a year, you can create different kinds of quizzes for your
students, and have their scores tallied automatically. I haven't used it yet,
but I'm thinking about it.

- This is the most comprehensive site on distance education
using the Internet. It has reviews of LMS, ideas and suggestions about
creating courses for your students, where to go for resources, etc. I highly
recommend you visit this site first.

- If you have a generous budget from your school, WebCT can
be great. It's one of the most popular LMS today.
http://www.webct.com/
- Another one that is very popular is Blackboard.
http://www.blackboard.com/
- For the rest of us who can't spend any money on this
project, there are several options. The one I'm thinking about using is Jones
e-education. The application process seems to be rather mendokusai/time-consuming,
but the interface and functions look very professional.

- Claroline.

- Moodle. http://moodle.org/
Both Claroline & Moodle require more computer knowledge than I actually have,
unfortunately.
